Chrysanthemum

Our eyes can become strained easily due to a variety of reasons, including work, leaving the eyes dry and tired.

Drinking Chrysanthemum tea is a good way to relieve eye strain. It contains lots of vitamin A, which is important for vision and is a good antioxidant.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), chrysanthemum is acrid, sweet and bitter in flavour, cool in the property. It is used to clear the liver and brighten the eyes (清肝明目). However, there are a few different types of chrysanthemum with slightly different uses.

White Chrysanthemum

The flowers are pale yellow, has a sweeter taste compared to most types of chrysanthemum.

It is typically used for brightening the eyes to help relieve eye strain, it is useful for individuals working for long hours.
