Cupping Therapy

What is Cupping?

Cupping involves creating a partial vacuum with glass or plastic cups on the skin. It is used to promote blood flow and qi (energy). It can be used to relieve muscle tension, and in combination with acupuncture to treat other conditions as well.

It is normal to have cupping marks on the areas where the cups were placed. These marks usually take about 3 days to a week, occasionally longer, to disappear.

Please let your practitioner know if you have any bleeding disorder or are currently on blood thinning medication.
